4 months old!

My little babe is 4 months old already. He is such a good boy!! He is just a beautifully quiet and happy little boy. Erin and Darcy love him more and more each day. Darcy can't get enough of holding his brother now and always plonk's himself down slapping his knee's saying 'umon! hold!' He talk's to him sweetly in a hi pitch voice making him wave and saying heewwoo mummy heewwoow daddy! The are certainly bonding well. If anything, Darcy is jelous that I am holding Joss and Not him!! Erin still helps out all the time which is wonderful. She is loving giving him his bottle when I go to work, certainly makes her feel important.

Here is Joss's Stat's @ 4 months:

weight: 6.26kg

height: 62cm

head circ: 42.2cm

He is almost 1 kg smaller than my other 2 babes at 4 months! I love having a little bubs. He has gained a little over 800gm's in a month, so certainly going well.

Joss pretty much hates being in the car and cries every time the car stops. He is a tummy sleeper 100% of the time so sleeping in the car and pram is almost impossible unless we are moving. That is about the most he gives us grief! He is learning more to sleep for longer time frames in his cot during the day, and not on us. He is sleeping well over night too. Although the last week he has woken for a quick feed and back to sleep again for a few more hours, but can't complain, I just go with the flow. Gotta take the good with the bad!! But we all love him!!

TRACTORS!!

Darcy had a very special afternoon today. We visited Poppi's work for some sand and Darcy went out in the Yard (daisy's garden supplies) and had a drive in the truck around the yard. Then drove 2 of the big CAT tractors (o.k. 'front end loaders') He was absolutely in his element!! He learnt to start it up, control the bucket and steer. I filmed him and Poppi load up a truck full of mulch and up loaded it onto the computer when we got home and Darcy watched it over and over again (3mins of footage) Darcy is SUCH a boy!! He is certainly going to be a blokes bloke!! Poppi has big dreams of Darcy racing the 66 Mustang he is doing up at the moment. I am sure Joss will be a mirror image. Something tells me these boy's are going to cost me a fortune!!
With Darcy's 2nd birthday less than 2 months away now, we have endless things to head out to the shops and get for him. He will be very spoilt! Not to mention his love for train's!! AHHH!! I was lucky with Erin not into dolls and barbies, but my god you pay a weeks wage for a good train set!! I am so excited about his birthday, might even try my hand at making him a Thomas cake!

Erin's Commonwealth Games

Erin Getting her Gold Medal

Erin and her best friend at Kinder Natalie

Erin doing her 20 Jumps

Erin with the Parachute

Yesterday saw the last day of term 1 for Erin at kinder and they celebrated by having their own Commonwealth games. The children had fun on the trampoline and egg and spoon race. Erin was the winner in her turn at the egg and spoon race! They all then performed a mini closing ceremony with the giant parachute. The kids all loved their gold medal presentation, each getting a gold medal. They then sang Advance Australia Fair to end their fun. It was so cute!! Can't wait to see what next term brings me....aahhummm, i mean ERIN!!

Breast feeding getting HARDER!!
Just had to share a picture of me feeding Joss the other night. It seems this is how I have to feed him some times! Geeee it makes the job a little harder!!LOL
Darcy insists on sitting in my lap if I am sitting cross legged, and Erin always likes to sit nice and close, and well, Joss getts burped from all different ways! It is certainly a joint effort.
Now just to wait until Joss gets more interested in what his siblings are doing instead of drinking his milk.....hmmm
All fun of course!

~Joss is 3 months today~

Well, today our little babe is 3 months already!!
He is doing so well. He is sleeping great overnight, usually around 6-9 hours. He is breastfeeding like a champ too. He is taking bottled breastmilk with no problems whilst I am working.

He is such a chatter box 'talking' a lot. He especially loves to talk to Erin. Joss now will spend a bit of time on the floor with his toys, just tricky as his big bro wants to lay on him!! So we need pay close attention when both boys awake! He had his first real laugh at Erin as she swung on the swing out the back, capturing it on film was just a bonus! We are seeing looking a lot like the other 2 babes now. We think he looks like Erin a fair bit as a baby, although he shares Darcy's feature his head shape is very much like Erin. He is a joy to have and certainly making our family seem more complete :)

Darcy's First Hospital Trip

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at William Angliss Hospital ED with Darcy. Last thursday I noticed a little tiny white speck on the blue of his eye. I tried rubbing it away, tried a little saline wash and it did nothing, we thought it would shift with Darcy rubbing his eyes etc.. Come Sunday it was still there and now noticably causing him some greif. He was becoming very sensitive to bright lights, closed his eyes tight when having his nappy changed (laying down) and his eye and nose were running quite a lot. So I asked Arron to take him to the ED to see if they can get it out... no point waiting for an appt with our GP in a few days time. They were unable to remove it and told us to bring him back tomorrow (monday) and requested him to fast from 9am as they would need to sedate him to have a better go at getting it out. We arrived and after a long wait they put the little patches of cream on to numb the area's they would try to put a needle in. He fell asleep on me for half an hour or so until they were ready. As you can imagine it was not a nice and easy task getting the canular in!! They then gave him medication to get him very drowsy and almost asleep but still awake. It took a needle point to scrape it off the cornea. It is still not known what it was, perhaps a little something from the beach last week? it looked just like a little speckle of paint. Darcy was quite aggitated and upset when the medication was wearing off and he was 'coming out of it'. After a few hours we got him to eat a lolliepop and had a drink of juice and a biscuit. We took him home and he had a good nights sleep last night. He is back to his normal self today and is heading back to hospital to make sure his eye healed up tomorrow. Poor little man!!!!!!!!!!
